Second Annual Underwater Lower Harbor Clean Up, July 18, 9am-1pm

Coast Guard Day and Lyle Gun Demonstration, August 4, 1:00 pm

Marquette Maritime Museum celebrates Coast Guard day with a Lyle gun demonstration on the shore of Lake Superior. The Lyle gun was invented in 1877 and was used by the U.S. Life-Saving Service to shoot a line to a wrecked ship. This event will be held outside and is weather permitting. Masks and social distancing are required.
